Outstanding value. They have every food you might want and the staff are very friendly. Steaks cooked to order, breakfast foods, Chinese food, many many desserts. Always a favourite when we're in Great Falls! It's a family restaurant so it's probably not fair to take a star away for loud kids but I did anyways... :-)

Never been to it before so really didn't know what to expect.. The price was good the the service was great.. The food was good when it was there , they were alittle slow on geting the new food out and some stuff has been sitting out for a while... What they need is a kid section with chicken nuggets and kid friendly food besides Mac and cheese.. My some has special needs and he's a very picky eater and there wasn't really nothing for him to eat... So kid friendly food would be great...

Very disappointed in this place. The chocolate cake was stale, the color of the meatloaf seemed off, the baked beans tasted like they came out of the can and the fried fish was so salty. I won't come back here.

I have been here a total of 3 times. First with a tour group, and then twice on the recent road trip to Salt Lake, we stopped by Great falls on the way there and back. Tip: unlike canadian buffets, you have to pay first then eat. The second time, I specifically searched up the address so that we could go there. Lots of classic comfort food, but nothing really fancy. Their dessert section is impressive, they have everything from pies to cake to soft serve ice cream and cotton candy. Ice cream..which I tried, vanilla, was good..and individually..the retail price for a soft serve would be over $3 in calgary, and here it's eat all you want all included in the price. The quality of cream isn't the best, cause vanilla soft serve is supposed to be milky white, like the ones from Dairy Queen, but here it is more off white. It's still safe to eat..don't worry. They have chocolate and twist as well. They also have a salad bar if you want to go healthy, and soups and chilli.

A friend who had visited Great Falls earlier this year recommended Golden Corral for dinner. This is a very busy place and is extremely inexpensive compared to any large buffet restaurant I've ever been to in Canada. There is a respectable variety of food and I was impressed at how many relatively healthy choices you can make. My spouse and I enjoyed a lot of the items from the new Tropical Island Grill, including the fish, sirloin and chicken. Some of the other items I quite liked were the Seafood Salad, Timberline Chili and Sweet and Sour Chicken. I also tried breaded okra for the first time. The desert selection offers crazy items such as massive sticks of cotton candy and a chocolate fountain with marshmallows for dipping. I didn't see any fruit nearby, so you'd probably have to take it from other sections of the buffet. I have to admit that the carrot cake and chocolate cake were surprisingly good and very rich. There isn't anything that my spouse and I took from this section that we didn't like. I'm giving Golden Corral three stars for a few reasons. I'm not a huge fan of the colored plastic plate and bowls, which makes me feel juvenile. Don't get me wrong, I know why they use them. This is a family establishment with high patron turnover per day and they need to avoid using fragile kitchenware. Additionally, this establishment is very casual and I guess I don't appreciate how loosely some people interpret this. I don't want to give the impression that I'm totally pretentious but what I saw here tonight was a bit of a put off. If you're looking for an easy on the wallet outing with some food that I'd consider to be 3 to 4 stars, find a Golden Corral.

The place to take a crowd... when people can't agree where to eat, or if you're starving and only a buffet will do. Pay attention to the signs above the food. For example, they usually have both homemade mashed potatoes and instant. Kids love the very expansive dessert bar, especially when they have the cotton candy or chocolate fountain going. Has a really nice salad bar with lots of choices. Also has a mexican area where you can make tacos or nachos. Freshly baked bread/rolls are yummy. Cons: Not as fun to dine here during heavy-traffic hours, especially if you're the type who likes your meat grilled to order - you end up standing in line for way too long. Sometimes the food does taste overdone and canned (like anything that was first canned and then boiled to heat it up) but you can't really be picky when this place is, essentially, a deluxe cafeteria. Wish the place carried real butter instead of butter substitute. Their Chinese selections leave MUCH to be desired - so much, that I recommend you just skip them.
